What were you using before Quick Board?
Cones and ladders.
What was the big a-ha moment when you decided you needed to try something new?
What were the top reasons you selected Quick Board?
It's the best tool for objective data and instant feedback with high reliability. It also promotes competition like I've never seen before its introduction into training. I deal with a lot of post-rehab athletes and have to bridge them back to training and sport. Quick Board shows me whether they are ready to get back into highly explosive movements or not. Basically, whether or not they are ready to return to sport.
How easy or hard was it to get started with Quick Board?
It’s easy and I never owned an iPad until I got the system. Just emailed the company with any questions and a response was yielded.
How has it helped you to overcome the challenges you had before?
Well, now I can measure quickness, coordination and reaction.
How is it different than other alternatives you’ve tried?
The instant feedback promotes the athlete to keep eyes looking at the iPad and not down at their feet. It actually measures what I need it to measure and gives feedback that promotes competition between oneself and others.
What is your favorite feature? Why?
The SAVE & COMPARE button. Athletes like to see how they compared to the prior use, and it lets me know how they have improved over time. Also, the cloud dashboard compares how they compare to the other athletes at my facility which is a huge motivator.
Tell me about the most positive experience you’ve had using Quick Board.
I had a lady who was told she would never walk again after an ATV accident. She used the Quick Board everyday she came in to train. She was able to walk into her doctor’s office with high heels on and show everyone that she was able to restore full function to her legs. She worked extremely hard and it took time but she did it with help of the Quick Board.
How has Quick Board helped you or players achieve goals?
I literally use it everyday with my clients. Improvements in Quick Board exercises go hand-in-hand with improving in sport. The athletes want to use it everyday and compete on it everyday. I have been fortunate to see players go from "draft bust" to signing contracts in the ball park of $55 million after the introduction of my training which includes a significant amount of Quick Board exercises. A high school center, who was the back-up and labelled too small, beat out the senior center and started every game this past season.
What specific metrics can you share about the impact it has had?
The 1 second Foot Fire exercise correlated to the 10 yard dash. Every athlete improved on 10 yard dash and the 1 second Foot Fire exercise over the same time frame. Quick Board reaction exercises correlated with less drops of the soccer ball for goalies and footballs for wide receivers in field drills.
What is the single biggest reason you would recommend our offering?
Quick Board improvements correlate to athletic performance on the field or court, and allows the trainer or coach to make sure the athlete is ready to compete at his/her potential.
